This is the event of the year for FGMS. Here we really shine! Our members pull together to present the general public with exciting displays of mineral collections and objects de art. Here we strive to educate, inform and encourage you to get involved with the world of rock hounding and at the same time generate monies for California State University Fresno and Fresno City College students majoring in Geology and or the Earth and Environmental Sciences.

You'll particularly enjoy our many demonstrations covering Silversmithing, Jewelry Making, Cabochons, Carving and many more.

The Big Fresno Fair Gem & Mineral Show - 2011

Everyone who volunteered and worked in the Gem & Mineral building at the Big Fresno Fair deserves a great BIG THANK YOU and pat on the back. You made this year’s Gem and Mineral Show the best ever. For those who did not show or did not volunteer, you missed working with a lot of hard working members and students. Of course, our Sr. members who wanted to be there but could not, are thanked for their past work in making our Gem and Mineral Society what it is today. Several members (too many to list) gave a lot of extra time and effort and were always willing to go the extra mile to help. Thanks to all of you.
